Priest-in-Charge: The Rev. Margarette Dimanche
The Reverend Margarette S. Dimanche was born in the vibrant city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Her early years were spent immersed in the rich cultural tapestry of her homeland until she embarked on a new chapter by relocating to the United States. There, she joined her beloved husband, Guyto Dimanche, and together they have been blessed with three wonderful children: Guymaella, Jonathan, and Franceska Dimanche.
Rev. Margarette's academic journey is marked by her dedication to theological studies. She earned a Diploma in Ministry from the esteemed Theological Seminary of Haiti, followed by a bachelor's degree from The Episcopal University of Haiti. Her commitment to her faith and community led to her ordination as a Deacon on July 29, 2012, and subsequently, she embraced the priesthood on March 13, 2014.
Beyond her ecclesiastical duties, Margarette finds joy in a variety of activities that enrich her life. She is an avid reader, often losing herself in the pages of books that expand her horizons. Traveling allows her to explore new cultures and perspectives, while dancing provides a joyful expression of her spirit. Music is a constant companion, offering solace and inspiration, and she delights in savoring good food, appreciating the culinary arts.
Above all, Rev. Margarette's most cherished aspiration is to love God wholeheartedly and serve His people with unwavering honesty and humility. Her life's work is a testament to her profound devotion and her desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those she encounters.
Rev. Margarette is serving as Priest-in-Charge of The Church of the Good Shepherd and as an Associate of St. Luke’s for the purpose of pastoral care to the sick and shut-ins.
